It is always a great feeling to find a disc….whether karma is boosted , friendships are formed, or you find that disc with no name that just turns out to be that disc you have been wanting to try.
I’m one of those players that loathes loosing a disc and will abandon a round and break out the lights and rakes if necessary to retrieve any of my discs. So naturally I’m the guy who promptly calls the number on a lost disc before I tee off on the next hole.
Just last week I found a green champion monster blending into some growth past a bulkheaded basket green. Strangely enough I only saw it when reaching down for my green champion disc that had landed perfectly ontop of it.
This morning presented a much more unexpected story.
Early this morning I decided to ride the bike down the beach road in Wrightsville Beach to checkout what the beach looked like after some flash flooding last night. While on the beach road admiring the misty view over the water, I happen to glance ahead and see a frisbee looking object laying in the road ahead of me. As I get closer, it becomes clear that this isn’t your typical beach disc, and the size is too small for an ultimate disc. Sure enough…it’s a champion plastic disc laying in the road with no stamp, name, or number. Hitting it in the sun revealed the reminiscence of the stamp…..Innova Champion Monster.

Know the signs, disc golf addicts are everywhere.
So no need to fear, the Wrightsville Beach Monster is now off the street. Now just to figure out what to dye on this disc…..what do you think?
